2026.05.14 Brewhalla

Thursday morning we had breakfast at the Roosevelt Grand Hotel. We packed up, checked out and continued our trip on interstate 94 east. We turned north for a bit to visit the Lewis and Clark Interpretative Center. We walked through the center and learned about the expedition. The exhibits were well done and it was a good stop.

From there we drove to Bismarck and went to Laughing Sun Brewery. I got a hazy pale ale that was tasty and Karla got a bourbon vanilla porter that was really good. For lunch Karla got a smoked turkey slider that was excellent. I got the brisket sliders that were also delicious.

From Bismarck we drove to Fargo and went to Brewhalla. Brewhalla is a market place with shops and restaurants, a hotel, and home to Drekker Brewing. I had reserved a room in the hotel so we checked in and brought out stuff to the room. We went back to the marketplace and we looked around and did some shopping. There is a Drekker bar in the marketplace, and with our hotel reservation we each got a free 6 oz beers. I got a double IPA that was delicious and Karla got a raspberry sour that was like eating a raspberry crumble. Really incredible.

My cousin Liz met us at Brewhalla. We got a round of beers and found a place to sit and talk. It was great to see her and to catch up. We got some delectable food from House of Noods & Buns. We talked some more and it was great spending time together. When we finished we got some desert from Nicole’s that was really good. Liz left and Karla and I made one more trip to the taproom to buy some merch and beer to go. We went to the room, opened some beer, and watched some tv before calling it a night.
