We started Tuesday with the included hotel breakfast at the Riverside Hot Springs Inn. Karla got the tasty spinach quiche. I got the equally good pigs in a puff that came covered in gravy. We packed up and checked out and hit the road. We headed north through Idaho on some back roads. We turned east and went into Wyoming. Not far into Wyoming we went through Alpine. Melvin Brewing is located there and I thought I would see a sign. But I didn’t and we were about to head out of town so I pulled over. Because we had some extra time, I check the map and we went back to check out the brewery. I knew they were not open but we drove there just to get a picture in front of the building.

We kept going towards Jackson, WY. We stopped for gas and at a REI store. When we got to Jackson, we went to Snake River Brewing. We both got the taco Tuesday special. My carnitas was better than Karla’s chicken. They were out of the hazy IPA I wanted but they had a different IPA that was ok. Karla got a Flanders Sour that was really interesting. When we were done, I got some beer to go along with a tin tacker and a sticker.

From Jackson, we continued our northward journey and soon came across the majestic Grand Tetons. We stopped at one of the turnouts and capture some photographs of this breathtaking sight.

There was not too much traffic and it was easy going through the official entrance to Grand Tetons National Park. We kept going and then we went through the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We went through some phases of slow traffic but it wasn’t too bad. I also pulled over to let others go by.
We stopped at Old Faithful even though I knew our odds of seeing the eruption was low. We use the facilities and walked around a bit. We talked about staying and looking around more but I wanted to keep moving.

We got on the road again and it was a short drive to the Grand Prismatic Spring. We got a good parking spot and walked on the boardwalk. It was an easy walk to see several hot spring pools. They were amazing and full of color.

We left the springs and at first there was not much traffic, but then we saw some bison and it slowed down. We started again and then we came to a complete stop. There were some bison on the road and we had to wait for them to leave. One came right by the truck and went between the vehicles in front of us. One stopped on the shoulder of the road and we had to wait another minute form him to take another step so we could get past.

It was only a few more minutes to exit the park and right outside was a small town. We stopped at the Yellowstone Beer Co. It is in an interesting place that at one time was a school gymnasium. I got a hazy ipa and Karla got a Mexican stout. Both were pretty good. We also got cheese curds and elk meatballs. Both were very tasty.

We got in the truck again and had about an hour and a half to Bozeman. We got behind some slow traffic that we were unable to pass and it was a little annoying. We made it to Bozeman and checked into the Field and Stream Hotel. After we dropped off our stuff, I drove to nearby Mountains Walking Brewing. We sat at the bar and I got a delicious hazy IPA. Karla got a super dank IPA that was also good. Karla got some soup and salad and I got some wings. All the food was good. Before we left I got a shirt and some beer to go. We went back to the hotel and called it a night.
