We started our morning with a quick stop at Cadillac Ranch. It is weird, and tourist trap, and covered is spray paint, but I am glad we stopped.

We headed southwest. I had researched Bandolero Brewery in Clovis, New Mexico. They opened at 11:00am and the menu looked good. Our route would get us there right at 11:00. Ten minutes before we arrived, we crossed the New Mexico border and entered the mountain time zone. We arrived at the brewery at 10:00am.
Next door to the brewery was an antique store that was open. We looked around for a few minutes but we needed to keep moving.
We drove to Roswell, NM and stopped at Black Cock Brewery. They make hard cider but do not brew beer. Karla had a cider and I had an IPA from Santa Fe Brewing. For lunch Karla had the delicious soup and grilled cheese sandwich special, and I had the crash burger. The bun was sealed around the burger so it looked like a flying saucer. Good food and a fun stop.

I wanted to stop at the Welcome to Roswell sign on the way out of town, but I messed up the directions and we missed it. We figured it wasn’t worth turning around.
We kept going for a couple more hours and stopped at 575 Brewing in Alamogordo for a quick beer. Then on to Las Cruces.
In Las Cruces we checked into our hotel and got settled. Then we went to Bosque Brewing and met our friends Marianne for supper. It was great to see her again and to catch up. We missed seeing her husband Greg because he was in Santa Fe.

Karla and I went back to the hotel and called it a night.
