I call it Trip 5 because this is the fifth winter Karla and I have headed south for the winter. Trip 1 was South Carolina, Georgia & Florida. Trip 2 was St. Augustine & Charleston. Trip 3 was Texas and when I started the blog. There is a link for all the posts about that trip. Trip 4 we went back to Florida and also Alabama. This winter we are heading west.

I use notations like 5.033 to keep track of the days away from home. We are now on day 33 away from our home on Widow Lake.

I have a Flickr account for all my photos and make albums for each part of the trip. When we are traveling, I have an album for each day. I haven’t put too much detail in the blog, and let the pictures tell the story. Maybe I’ll include more detail this year. It will depend on how motivated I am and how much time I have.

I also like to create Google maps. I include the routes we drive and the places we visit.
