Friday, March 6, 2026 was the last night of trivia at the High Heat Sports Bar. We did ok, but we missed a couple easy ones that we should have got. We will miss trivia and hope the trivia master finds another home.
Saturday, March 7, we made plans to meet the Muleteam. The Muleteam is a bunch of people who have been hiking around Bisbee since 2000. They were going to be in our area, so I drove to the Miller Canyon parking lot. We waited for everyone to arrive and there was a total of 20 hikers and 5 dogs.

We hiked up Miller Canyon and mostly stayed together. There were a couple stops on the way. Karla and I had hiked part of this before, but we kept going on a trail I didn’t know was there. It took about 2 hours to reach the Parlermee Saw Mill Ruins. We stopped and took a break for lunch or a snack.

After our break we started down Miller Canyon and Karla & I didn’t stay with the main group. It took about an hour to get back to the parking lot. We said goodbye to those who had finished the hike and drove back to Sierra Vista.
On our way back, we stopped at Dos Bros to get some food to go. We got a lot of delicious food including birria tacos and caramelos. We took it back to our place but we didn’t even eat half our food.
That afternoon we drove to Artemizia in Bisbee for the Astral Lucency opening by NYCHOS. Artemizia is a world-class modern art museum that is just another surprise from Bisbee. We saw our friend Chad and Karla talked with him as I parked the truck. The exhibit was amazing with large detailed original painting going for $10-20k. It didn’t take too long to go through the exhibit and the rest of the museum. From there we drove back to Sierra Vista and went to the Huachuca Art Association. It was the first Saturday member show. We looked around and talked with a few people. We contemplated buying a painting that was on sale. The price was right, but it wasn’t our style.
It had been a full day so we went back to Cactus Point to relaxed, read, watched some basketball and a little tv.
We did not have anything on our schedule for Sunday. I wanted to go on a long bike ride to see if I could do El Tour de Zona. So I biked and went into Ramsey Canyon. I said I would go an hour or ten miles, whatever came first. They both came about the same time. I don’t think I made it as far as the tour goes, but I was pretty close. I didn’t realize how long I had been going uphill until I turned around. Going downhill I had to use my brakes to keep from going too fast. But it was really nice to coast for a while. On my way back I stopped at Tombstone Brewing West End. I had a couple beers and some tasty spice & chive deviled eggs. From there it was a short ride back to Cactus Point. I had biked 20.87 miles in 2 hours and 1 minute of riding time. The elevation gain was 896 feet.
