SV to Abq

We closed up our place in Sierra Vista. It is very different than closing our place in Minnesota. Of course we do not have to worry about water freezing in Arizona. But Arizona is very dry so we filled five gallon buckets of water and left them throughout Cactus Point.

Once everything was packed up and Cactus Point was closed up, we first headed east. We stopped in Deming New Mexico at Si Senors for lunch. We had some enchiladas and gorditas and everything was good. Service was good and our meal ended with sopaipillas with honey. From there it was a short drive to Hatch, New Mexico. We had visited in February and found some good salsa. So we went back to the same place and got a jar of hot and a jar of extra hot. We also stopped at another shop and got some spices and snacks.

After Hatch we headed to Albuquerque. We had reservations at the Painted Lady Bed and Brew. We had the Charlie suite in the hotel that had once been an 1880 brothel. Soon after we had checked in, it was happy hour at the Ghost Light Saloon. A little bar in an old trolly that is part of the hotel. We had a couple beers and some conversation with the brewer.

After the trolly, we took a Lyft to Marble Brewing. The Los Alibrejias food truck was there and we got some delicious tacos and birria egg rolls. We also enjoyed a couple tasty beers.

A couple blocks form Marble is Gravity Bound Brewing. We walked over and they were in the middle of trivia night. We got some beers and listened in on the last couple rounds. It was fun to listen to the questions without the pressure of winning it all. And the beer was good.

We took a Lyft back to the Painted Lady and called it a night.
