We got an early start on Sunday and left Santa Fe. It was a fun stop and I am glad we got to see a lot of interesting places and taste some delicious food. However, I am not sure we will plan a return trip.

A few hours south of Santa Fe we stopped at the Giddy Up Cafe in Truth or Consequences, NM. It was a place I found online. There was not much information and I wasn’t even positive they would be open. But they were open, and we ordered at the counter, and after someone left, found a table in the open courtyard. I got the hatch green chile biscuits and gravy and Karla got the chilaquiles. Both were delicious but the biscuits and gravy we especially nice with hand hewn biscuits and Hatch Green Chile sausage gravy.

It was too early to visit Truth or Consequences Brewing so we kept moving. I filled up with gas and we made it to Bisbee without stopping. We talked about making a stop but we were excited about getting there and getting settled in. We listened to podcasts and music, and traffic wasn’t bad, and it was good to get there early. We unloaded everything from the truck and got stuff put away in the rental. We ran to the grocery store and got some supplies.

It is good to be in one spot for a while. We have some company coming and the Sideponey Express Music Festival this weekend. I will try to post an update next week.
