We woke up to some snow and ice in Kansas City. Before we left we had a little hotel breakfast. It was a buffet but it was not busy and we had some good biscuits and gravy. The server also went the extra mile to find some ginger and turmeric tea for Karla. There was a little ice around the hotel but once we got on the highway, the roads were fine.
We drove to Bentonville, AR and went to Bentonville Brewing. Nosh Nola is connected, but we decided to get tacos and a quesadilla from Senor Shreddy’s food truck. It was the right decision. We also tasted a couple beers from Bentonville Brewing. I bought a tin-tacker for the pole building.
After lunch we went to the Crystal Bridges Museum and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Bachman-Wilson House. The Bachman-Wilson house was cool and had a lot of the same features we have seen at other Wright Usonian houses. The Crystal Bridges Museum had an Annie Leibovitz exhibition that was fascinating. There were hundreds of pictures that included every celerity, politician, athlete, etc. that you can imagine.
From Bentonville we drove to Little Rock. We got settled, I ran for a few groceries and relaxed the rest of the evening. This is our home for the next two weeks. Holiday Hangout is this weekend and we have some friends coming. I will try to post an update.
