Karla and I closed up our place on Widow Lake on Friday Oct 27. The weather had been nice but we could see a cold stretch coming. We packed up our stuff and went to Mom’s in St. Cloud. As soon as we were settled, Kevin & Emily showed up and stayed the night. The next morning, after filling the anti-freeze in their Tahoe, they headed south. We stayed a few weeks with Mom.

I went to Mic’s cabin and hung out with Mic, Scottie, Mike and Al.

Karla went to Little Women at the Paramount with Mom, Anna and Wendy.

Mike came to St. Cloud a couple times to watch the Vikings and eat House of Pizza pizza.

Karla went to Carlos Creek with Wendy. She brought back some wine for Mom and some beer from 22 Northmen for me.

Karla and I went to see Ike Reilly at First Avenue and stayed overnight in Minneapolis. It was a fun show and it was really great to see a lot of friends.

We had Thanksgiving at Mom’s. Lani came in from Oregon, and John, Anna, Gaby, Caden and Carter came over. Karla made sweet potato casserole and cranberries. She helped me with the turkey and mashed potatoes. Anna made wild rice stuffing and brought Brussels sprouts and green beans. Gaby made homemade pie. Everything was delicious and it was nice to be together for the day.

Today is Friday, November 24 and Karla and I are starting our journey south. Watch this space for updates.
