We started August with the Rendezvous Brewing anniversary party. I won a long sleeve shirt.
For Karla’s birthday we went to the Boulders in Walker and had a great meal.
Some of my cousins came to visit and hung out for the afternoon. It was great to see everyone.
Rachael & Joe came and stayed a couple nights. We had a fun time on the lake, relaxing and listening to records.
Lani & Sarah went on a trip and Karla dog-sat Gretta for a couple days. I helped a little.
We finially finished painting and the trim in new room.
Karla and I volunteered for Faith in Action and sold raffle tickets at the Bluegrass Festival in Pine River. We sold a good number of tickets and were able to listen to a little bluegrass.
Over Labor Day weekend, Karla and her sisters went to North Carolina to celebrate Kathy’s birthday. I stayed home alone and somehow survived. After North Carolina, Karla went to Wisconsin for a few days. I drove to Wisconsin the next weekend. We stayed a few more days before Karla and I returned home.
Kevin & Emily had everyone over to their place on Woman Lake. Ben smoked a brisket that was fantastic, Bob & Lisa & friends played some songs and we all sat around the campfire.
It all went by fast but it was a good couple months. There was also time on the pontoons, dominoes, hiking and other family fun.

Tomorrow we head to Canada!
