Wendy & Terry

Trying to catch up on a few things.

At the end of May and into June, our friends Wendy & Terry came for a visit.

They arrived on Tuesday, May 30 and we took it easy in the afternoon. That evening we went on a ride on the pontoon and took a couple laps around Widow Lake. The evening turned out to be perfect for a pontoon ride and a few beers.

Wednesday I took the day off work. Our first stop was Woman Lake Lodge for coffee and donuts. Then we went to Hackensack. We went to Share-N-Care and Karla and Wendy found some items. We went to Rendezvous, but it wasn’t open yet so we walked by the lake and took some pictures with Lucette.

By this time Rendezvous was open so we all got a beer. It was a nice day so we sat outside. From there we went to the Birchwood Char House & Bar for lunch. One more stop at the Co-op before heading to Walker. We walked around and did a little shopping before heading to Portage Brewing for a couple beers. We did a little more shopping before heading back to Hackensack and the Hack Muni. We sat at the bar and had some beer and pizza and played TouchTunes. We went back to our place and played some cards. Very fun day.

Thursday I had to work. Karla and Wendy went into town to pick up a few things. Terry created some rubs for ribs and I helped get stuff going in the smoker. Everything turned out really good and we had supper at Mom’s. After supper we went over to Woman Lake and went out for a pontoon ride. After the pontoon ride, we hung out at Kevin & Emily’s for a while and talked and had some drinks. We went back to our place and we played some more cards. Another good day.

Friday I was up early to do some work. Terry was also up early and he made homemade biscuits and gravy. I got a break from work and breakfast was spectacular. My afternoon was easy so I called it a day and drove everyone to Longville. We first went to the Tossed & Found and then to the main street in Longville and looked in a few shops. We went to the Docksider for a beer and some TouchTunes. We went back to our place and I grilled some brats and hung out on the deck for a while. That evening I drove to the Log Cabin Bar in Emily. Drew Peterson was set up outside and we got a picnic table. There were a couple other tables full of loud people. It was Friday and people were out having fun but it was not good for the music. We had to get some chairs and moved closer so we could hear the music. We only stayed for his first set but I am glad we went. We went home and went to the studio and listened to records and had a couple more beers before calling it a night.

Wendy & Terry left Saturday morning. I am really glad they came to visit and we had a great time.
