We are back home again at Widow Lake. We moved in Wednesday, May 3. We drove up on April 23 but there was still a lot of snow and more cold weather predicted.
So we went back to St. Cloud and stayed with my mom for a while. We took care of some appointments and had a chance to hang out with our friend Wendy. We also took a trip to Minneapolis. We stopped at Nouvelle Brewing for a beer, went to the Russian Museum of Art, the Town Hall Tap and the Parkway Theater. The beer at Nouvelle was good and the service was great. I wish we could have stayed longer and tried more beer and have some food. The Russian Museum of Art had some great pro-Ukraine exhibits and a really interesting exhibit featuring Geli Korzhev. At the Parkway we saw the movie “Don’t Turn Your Back on Friday Night” about Ike Reilly, his family and bands. After the film, there was a Q&A with Ike and then a few live songs by Ike and his sons. It was a really fun day.
We have some trips planned this summer, but mostly we are looking forward to spending some time at home. Feel free to come and visit any time.
