Merry Christmas

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and Santa brought you everything you ever dreamed of.

Work was still a little busy in the early part of the week, but it got quiet so we checked out a few more places around Scottsdale. Thursday we went to Fate Brewing. We tried a couple beers and the cornbread fritters. The beer was good but the fritters could have had more jalapeno.

Some friends of ours came to visit on Friday. We walked around Scottsdale and checked out a lot of galleries and shops. We went to Los Olivos for lunch and visited the Old Adobe Mission. Some more shops and after a drink at the Drunk Munk, it was dark enough to enjoy all the Christmas lights. Our last stop was at Craft 64 for some pizza and beer. We ended the night at our rental with a little beer tasting and Christmas music.

The next morning Karla made a great frittata for breakfast. Our friends left and we relaxed. We had a zoom call with my family and we went on a walk to Arizona Falls. We worked together to make French onion turkey meatballs. Everything turned out delicious. We watched some football and the latest Downton Abby movie.

Christmas morning we went to the Majestic 7 to watch A Christmas Story on the big screen. We also had drinks and food during the movie. After a relaxing afternoon of reading and painting at the rental, we wandered around Scottsdale. Porters and the Coach House were both open so we stopped for a drink.

Monday we drove to the Phoenix Mountains and hiked on some of the Piestewa Peak trails. After our hike we went to Hundred Mile Brewing for lunch and beer. It was still early so we made a stop at The Shop Beer Co and Wren House Brewing for a beer at each place before returning to the rental.

It was a good week with the best weather so far. I am looking forward to more guests this weekend
