More Scottsdale

Another week of exploring Scottsdale. We have two and a half weeks remaining until we leave Scottsdale and I have a feeling it is going to go fast.
Works has been busy. I think there is an effort to get stuff done before the holidays and the end of the year.
Thursday we went to The House Brasserie for a wonderful dinner.
Friday after work we did a little bar hopping. The first stop was Goldwater Brewing. We have been there before, but I like their beer. From there we went to the Rusty Spur. The Rusty Spur is always busy but they greet you with a cheer when you walk in. We had a round and listened to some music. Crowded but fun. Then we went to Porter’s Western Saloon. Not too busy so we had a place to sit. Had a couple drinks and talked with some people from Minnesota.
Saturday we went to the farmer’s market and Costco and Albertson’s to stock up on supplies. We wanted to go on a hike, but the Vikings went into overtime. What a game. We went on a hike after the game but we started later than we wanted. We did the Ringtail Loop starting at the Lost Dog Wash trailhead. I missed a cutoff for a shorter hike and we went 3 miles instead of 2. Oh well. We made it back before it was completely dark. We went back to our rental and watched some live music streams by Ike Reilly, Golden Smog and the Jayhawks.
Sunday we watched the end of the world cup and then walked to the Museum of the West. The Museum of the West has an amazing exhibit of Edward Curtis. Many, many photos and lots to think about. We went to America’s Taco Shop and then walked around Scottsdale. We walked towards Camelback Mountain to get a better view, but there is always something in the way. On the way back we went down Exeter Boulevard and there are some amazing houses and nice holiday displays. And a little farm with goats, llamas, sheep and other animals.
Merry Christmas, everyone. I will try to add another update next week.
