We slept in a little bit and it felt good after a couple days of travel. We walked to the Albuquerque Museum and spent a couple hours there. They have seven galleries and it was too much to see in one visit. We did see a lot and we enjoyed the Historic and Contemporary Landscapes with works by Thomas Cole, Kiki Smith, and Shi Guorui.
After the museum, it was time for lunch so we drove out to Turtle Mountain Brewing. It wasn’t what I expected but we had some good food and beer. Not far from there was Piedras Marcadas Canyon. Even though it was a little chilly and windy, we had a good hike and saw a lot of petroglyphs. On the way back to our Airbnb, we went to La Cumbre Brewing. They have some really good beer. I also bought a work shirt and some beer to go. It was a bunch of driving but we got to see some different areas and some views of Albuquerque.
We regrouped at the Airbnb and walked around our neighborhood in old town. We checked out a couple shops but there were not a lot of options for dinner. We walked north and went to Two Cranes Bistro + Brew. They had a good beer selection and good food. After dinner, we called it a night and headed back to the Airbnb.
