Trip 5 MN, SD, NE

We packed up and loaded up the truck in St. Cloud. Said goodbye to Mom and headed south. We made an impromptu stop at the Hermann Monument in New Ulm. Then on to Forbidden Barrel Brewing in Worthington. We had a couple beers and a tater tot hotdish pizza. The beer was good and the tater tot hotdish pizza was outstanding. From Worthington we headed west and stopped at Look’s Marketplace in Sioux Falls. A cool marketplace with a lot of specialty food and a brewery. We did not need any more food but we did stop for a couple beers. We also got a few things to go. From there it was a long drive across southern South Dakota and into Nebraska. We stopped once for gas and at the Fort Randall dam. It was getting a little dark but it was still a cool view of the Missouri. On to Atkinson, Nebraska we checked into the Sandhill Guest House Hotel. We got settled and went out to Brush Creek Brewery. We had a couple beers and more pizza. It is a nice place and we had good conversations with some of the locals. Good day. We went back to the hotel and watched some of Elf. Tomorrow we head to Denver.
