September was another beautiful month up north.
The Steenos were around and we had fun hanging out with them and the rest of the family.
We went on some hikes on the North Country Trail and the Goose Lake Trails.
Our big project got under way. Karla and I removed the old kitchen cabinets (with some help from Kevin). We had to do some work to get the walls ready. Karla did a great job patching and painting the part of the wall that will be exposed. Some day we will add a tile backsplash, but until then, it looks great. I took down paneling and put up some drywall to even everything out. When the walls were done, we put down a vinyl tile floor. Not the color we originally wanted, but it looks good. We got our new appliances. They looked great, but on closer inspection, the stove was damaged. I worked to get it fixed and it will be good. We are still waiting for a partial refund. We put the new microwave in and it is really nice. The new cabinets were delivered and installed and they are fantastic. All that was left was the countertops. Unfortunately, we had to wait until October 24 for those to be installed.
