We went to Orlando for New Year’s Eve and had a great time with our friends Wendy & Terry. Wendy had to work, so Karla, Terry and I went out and visited a couple breweries. Orlando Brewing was good. I had not been there and I like visiting new places. On the way back we stopped at Dead Lizard Brewing. Karla and I were there back in April 2018. It was very good and they had an outside space that I do not remember from our first visit. I got a four pack of Karate Sandwiches to go.
Back at Wendy & Terry’s, we enjoyed the great supper that Terry had prepared.
After supper we went to Deadwords Brewery. A really nice new brewery with an interesting selection of beer. We talked with the owner and stayed to ring in the new year.
New Year’s Day Karla and I stopped in Sanford to visit some breweries and walk around. Nice town. I think we will visit again.
I had Monday off work so we went to the Museum of Art & Science. We were both impress with their collection. We did not expect the collection to be so extensive. We enjoyed the American Art, the visible storage, Cuban Art, African Art, the artful books and more. The collection of Mark Messersmith items was fantastic. I would call them paintings but they included three dimensional additions to the paintings. We visited other galleries but did not have time to view everything.
Our ticket included a short film at the planetarium. It was nice to sit down for a while, but we didn’t get much out of it.
After lunch, we went to the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art. We were, once again, impress by the quantity and quality of the collection.
