December 14, 2021
We got together with some friends and did some exploring around the area.
Last Wednesday we went to Racing’s North Turn (nice deck on the beach, but a poor beer selection), then to Dunes Brewery (good beer), and then to Our Deck Down Under (a little sunset view, good food and decent beer).
Saturday we went to the Daytona Beach farmers market and loaded up with a lot of fresh produce. Then we walked around the neighborhood. We stopped at Tic Toc Antiques (lots of interesting stuff), Atlantic Sounds (cool record store where I bought a Mike Nesmith record), and McK’s (decent beer).
After a stop at our VRBO we went to New Smyrna Beach. There was a car show on Canal Street (the exhaust fumes we noxious), we went to the River Deck Tiki Bar (fun place) and The Spott for dinner (good stuff). We walked some more and saw the last of the boat show. Then we met our friends at New Smyrna Beach Brewing (good beer).
Sunday we went to DeLand. We met our fiends again and went to Persimmon Hollow Brewing (great beer), Marketplace at Rivertown (3 floors of antiques), Steve’s Downtown Music (cool record store, but hard to find anything), Dorothy’s (I think, a place with a lot xmas stuff), Half Wall (good food and beer), and Hyderhead Brewing (cool place with good beer). One last stop at Persimmon Hollow to get my growler filled.
We also walked on the beach and around our neighborhood. Lots of stuff to do.
